The project “Seeding Future” involves interdisciplinary collaboration from the perspective of art, conducting culture studies and creating arts. We cooperated with HAkA Conservation Organization and went to Leuser Ecosystem in Sumatra, Indonesia in 2019 to learn more about the current situation of Tropical Rainforest Reserves.

As an interpretation for future life, ”InterPFL” observes the changing landscape from futuristic perspective, from architecture, creature and environment as evident, through the connection between humans and all things, to discover the spatial scenery and regional records. 

The project “Wagiwagi” starts from various and non-human-oriented viewpoints to discuss the ecosystem of islands. From the debate and clarification of the “resource-commoner-institution” system, an “island” might be formed into an alternative area through identification, discovery, construction, resistance, compromise, and negotiation. It points to a life-practice of “living together” in the phrase, including the contemplation of “incapable living together.”

As one of the sustainable ways of ecological conservation, art activities with citizen participation do play an important role. Through creative communications between different generations, we hope that people can learn more about our environment and ecological conservation from diverse aspects, seeding our children into a better world.
