SUAVEART is delighted to announce that three of its collaborative artists — Wu Chuan-Lun, Jill Zheng, and Si Jianwei — have been invited to participate in Convergence, a contemporary art exhibition jointly curated by three significant Southeast Asian galleries and art space: Artemis Art (Kuala Lumpur), Nalarroepa Ruang Seni (Yogyakarta), and Unicorn Gallery (Jakarta). Presented as part of Jogja Art Weeks 2025, Convergence is an official event within one of the region’s most vibrant art festivals.

At its heart, Convergence is a gathering space — not only for artworks, but for the intersection of creative energy. It is a living, breathing laboratory of encounter, where 42 artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and practices come together to engage, exchange, and reflect on themes of contemporary society, memory, ecology, and identity.

As a curatorial and artistic platform, SUAVEART remains deeply committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and collaborative practices. The participation of these three artists embodies our ongoing exploration of connection through culture and empathy through art.

• Wu Chuan-Lun pushes the limits of perception by transforming natural objects and social behaviors to rethink our tangled relationship with ecology and society. Much like the blurred boundaries in “eggy” video calls, his work exposes the shifting overlaps between human and animal appropriation, disrupting our unexceptional yet intrusive presence.

• Jill Zheng’s eco-visual poem merges the imagery of Snow Dragon Mountain with the Chinese logograph 脈 (‘vein’), deconstructing its Seal Script roots to reveal branching streams within flesh. The work plays on the character’s layered etymology—where a moon-like misreading blurs with its original anatomical and hydrological meaning—highlighting the loss embedded in simplification.

• Si Jianwei evokes urban ghost-memories and folds of time through the interplay of object and image, drawing from the shifting landscapes of his hometown’s urbanization. Among these symbols, corn emerges as a humble grain and silent witness to the transformations of place and memory.

In Convergence, what we witness is not merely the presence of three SUAVEART-affiliated artists — but the unfolding of three distinct forces navigating across geographies, materials, and philosophies. Their practices resonate like frequencies across the contemporary art landscape of the Global South, echoing with intergenerational and interdisciplinary thinking.

As its title suggests, Convergence is more than a moment of meeting — it is a journey of motion, expansion, and redefinition. For SUAVEART, this exhibition marks both a milestone and a call — a call to continue forging connections and resonances in diverse corners of the world.

細着藝術很高興地宣布合作的三位藝術家 — 吳權倫 (Wu Chuan-Lun)、鄭文吉 (Jill Zheng)、與司建偉 (Si Jianwei) — 獲邀參與由三間亞洲重要畫廊與藝術空間聯合策劃的當代藝術展覽《匯聚》。該展覽為 Jogja Art Weeks 2025 的官方活動之一，由 Artemis Art (吉隆坡)、Nalarroepa Ruang Seni (日惹)、以及 Unicorn Gallery (雅加達) 三方共同呈現。

《匯聚》的核心精神在於匯聚與交錯。這場展覽不僅僅是作品的展示，更是創作能量相互撞擊的實驗空間。來自不同文化背景與創作脈絡的42位藝術家們，在此相遇、交談、激盪，展開對當代社會、記憶、生態、身份的多維度探索。

細着藝術作為策展與創作平台，持續關注跨文化對話與藝術實踐中的共創可能。此次三位藝術家參與《匯聚》，正體現我們對於「文化連結」與「藝術共感」的核心理念。

• 吳權倫透過轉化自然物與社會行為，挑戰感知的界限，重新思考我們與生態及社會交織糾結的關係。就像「eggy」視訊中模糊的邊界，他的作品揭示了人類與動物佔用空間的重疊與流動，打破了我們那平凡卻具侵入性的存在感。
• 鄭文吉的生態視覺詩將雪龍山的影像與漢字「脈」融合，解構其小篆字形，展現出肉體中分支流動的溪流。作品巧妙地運用該字多層次的語源意涵——月形的誤讀與其原本的解剖和水文意義交織，突顯簡化字所隱含的意義流失。
• 司建偉以物象交織的畫面，喚起都市的幽靈記憶與時間的褶皺，汲取家鄉都市化過程中變遷的景觀。在這些象徵符號中，玉米作為一種不起眼的穀物，默默地見證著地點與記憶的變化。

在展覽《匯聚》中，我們看到的不只是三個來自細着藝術的藝術家，更是三種穿梭於不同地域、媒材與觀點的實踐能量。他們的作品像是某種共振頻率，在亞洲南方的藝術地景中，展現出跨地域的思考。如其名，《匯聚》不只是交會，更是一場關於流動、延展與再定義的旅程。對細着藝術而言，這樣的參與既是驕傲，也是召喚——我們願持續在世界的不同角落，創造連接與共鳴的可能。
