The City Drink project is based on the observation of water systems within the city and their impact on daily life. Water provision is a key aspect of public infrastructure in building a community or city. However, most urban designs create a significant distance between residents and water, as well as its ecology. This means people interact with water primarily for drinking, cleaning, or other practical purposes, without a broader understanding of its role in the city’s landscape. Water also structures the base taste of food in a city, through the technology of fermentation and brewing, it becomes alcohol and other drinks to support the spirits of the inner and outer world.
This project would like to invite participants to brew Boston-style drinks using collected urban water, encouraging them to rethink the relationship between people and their environment. Note: Due to local climate factors, brewing may take 5-7 days before it’s ready for drinking. The entire process must be kept clean and pollution-free to ensure the safety of drinkers. This workshop only provides production methods, and participants will bring the semi-finished products back home.
✨ Tracing Palettes on the Dining Table
🗓️ 7 March | 4 – 5 pm

Dining is a ritual that blends multiple sensory elements, often serving as a way to reconnect people with the land and their cultural heritage. Ingredients closely tied to the ecosystem frequently reflect the historical relationships formed between humans and non-humans under the influence of colonization. This workshop uses cloves as a focal material to explore its plant-centered history, reexamining humanity’s dominance over nature.
By cooking dishes that incorporate cloves, the workshop aims to evoke participants’ memories and explore the connection between humans and the land through shared meals. Participants are invited to share personal experiences and stories related to specific ingredients, offering a new perspective on the formation of food culture. Ultimately, the workshop provides a platform for participants to experience and reflect on food from a fresh perspective, extending the imagination from cultural and familial connections to personal identity.

RESPONSIBLE ART EXCHANGE IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Abstract by Yipei Lee
Examining the intersection of responsible art exchange and creation amid climate change, this paper draws insights from tropical rainforest projects to explore ecological awareness within the art community. SUAVEART’s projects begin with archipelagos in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, where the climate and islands play a crucial role in shaping biodiversity. The cultural landscape, shaped by nature, modernity, economics, and society, forms the foundation for our initiatives and esthetics.
Collaborating with conservation institutions, art organizations, scientists, ecologists, citizens, art and cultural practitioners, Project Seeding Future and Wagiwagi – Greeting to Nature aims to create a creative sensemaking for the present and future. A diverse range of initiatives emphasizes the arts’ role in reshaping cultural narratives surrounding climate issues. Through artistic programs, field research and tours, SUAVEART engages in various activities.
