Art Space Visiting – instant 42 @ San Chung, New Taipei City|空間隨訪 – 新北三重 instant 42

One day, I was invited to the performance ending party. It’s called instant 42,  a Special Art Space in District San Chung, New Taipei City.

District San Chung was the center related with MangGa downtown in Taipei during Qing Dynasty. Now it is changing and famous for suburban, heavy industry manufacturing, and erotic place.

Most of artists from instant 42 are doing performance, action, concept, new media and multi-type arts. The reason why i wrote this place on my blog is that it’s special place taking care with resident, funky and vivid space with its personalities, comparing to those art spaces we’re used in downtown.

1-floor – one big pink wall in the art space. It looks small, but artists make the whole thing funky and balanced. Neighbors walk inside like their home, surprising and great! 2-floor – studio, kitchen, bathroom with balcony, small again, but facilities are well-doned! 3-floor – Room, i guess it’s not big 😛

So, how and where do they performance? Yes, it’s in front of the apart, 5 foots distances, with vegetable garden! When i was seeing their performance, once upon the car passed in this small alley, we had to stand up, move our bottom and chair. Hahahaa kind of love this doing !

The great part is their neighborhood are open-mind, and welcome to see it’s happening. Then they can join with artists free time. I usually to say if one space has own personalities, here is the unique art space!! instant 42!
